CMP

CMP high power is finished for the 2008 season. An average of
15 persons shot per session and learned a great deal about
marksmanship. It was great to see many new shooters hone their
skill. We will start again in May of 2009. Watch for dates in future
newsletters, club bulletin boards & website. CMP currently has in
stock M-1917's, Krags, M-1 Garands M-1 carbines and a variety

We've been fortunate to secure some of the last available
CHEAP 30-06 ammunition for the club's CMP program.
Look for further details in spring. If you ever thought about
buying a .30 M-1 carbine now is the time to act. These are
fun little guns to shoot. Supplies are getting VERY VERY
low and there's no telling how long they’ll be available at
this inexpensive price. We're looking at only a few months’
left folks!

as well. We're talking $200 plus and less for the M-1
Garand and carbines than you'll find at local gun shows!
WW2, Korea, Vietnam & Cold War Vets - OH THE
HISTORY, IF ONLY THEY COULD TALK! A variety of
targets for .22's and air guns are also available (I just
bought a precision US marked air gun with a bushel of
accessories for $79.00). If anyone is interested in doing a
"thunder run" to the CMP store at Camp Perry Ohio Let me

I have 30+ years experience evaluating carbines and M-1's
as well as building match grade M-1's and M-1a's and a full
set of mil spec gauges! For those of you who already have a
30-06 rifle, the CMP has secured a huge lot of Greek HXP
manufacture fully reloadable M-1 safe 30-06 ammunition.
This ammo has yet to be imported and the cost is presently

Cost is $20.00 per session & includes the use of a M1 rifle or carbine for juniors. targets, instruction and all ammunition (30-06 or carbine) for that night.
If you supply your own rifle & ammunition the cost is $ 5.00 per session You may use reloaded ammuniation in your own rifle.(other allowable rifles are the M1903 Springfield and variants, M1917, M-1a, AR-15, and theM1941 Johnson)

The Civilian Marksmanship program for this summer is still being formulated but will follow the same format as previous years, being set up as a shooting clinic. Cost will remain $5.00 without drawing ammunition and $20.00 with 30-06 ammunition. If you use a club rifle you must draw ammunition.  We will be using the East Aurora Fish and Game club every other Wednesday night at 6pm beginning in May . Dates will be in the next newsletter and listed on the chalk board at the club. The availability of  M-1 carbines for sale from the CMP continues to dwindle. It is estimated that they will be gone by July of 2010. If you ever thought about getting a genuine US Army issue M-1 carbine you better act soon. Prices start at $419.00 plus shipping. The CMP also has m-1 Garands, a variety of high grade .22 rifles (Kimbers 82's, Remington 40 x's, Winchester 52's and Mossburg 44's), air guns and occasionally other rifles for direct sale/ shipment to BR&R club members.  You can also purchase these from the CMP north store at Camp Perry Ohio where you can choose and pick out one or more yourself!
